Gary W. Jerkins, MD of Advancing Vision Research is board certified American Academy of
Ophthalmology with clinical practice experience beginning in 1982. Dr. Jerkins has served as a Principal
Investigator since 2002 overseeing more than 150 phase 2, 3 and 4 studies.
Advancing Vision Research is one of the leading clinical research sites in the country. On a global stage,
Advancing Vision Research is one of a few sites in the world to participate in pharmacological, contacts
lens, and contact lens solution clinical trials. We participate in several clinical trials each year. Many new
technologies undergoing FDA approval are tested by our office. Once these products are approved by the
FDA and are released on the consumer market, Advancing Vision Research has the advantage over other
practices because of our familiarity with these products. We are a small but growing company, which
enables us to produce quality data and rapid turnaround on study start-up activities  and regulatory
document submissions. Because of our size, our PI is able to directly oversee all clinical staff and all
research activities.

   We are regularly one of the top enrollers for our trials, which is mainly due to our continuously updated
databases of potential and current research subjects. Our recruitment tactics vary by study, but may
include online and social media advertisement, radio and tv ads, in office recruitment, direct mailers,
emails, and phone calls. Our recruitment and enrollment abilities and been tested and proven time and
time again, we hit or exceed our enrollment goal on every trial including block enrollment trials, which
generally have a significantly shorter recruitment period.  We believe that our experience, quality of data,
level of oversight, and recruitment abilities make us a valuable asset for any ophthalmic trial.
